I was passing through Albert Square one day when I spotted these on the steps of the statue of Prince Albert.
Of course, a pair of shoes lying about is probably not such a phenomenon. Like, people may get drunk and lose their shoes (or at least I think they do, I wouldn’t know, I don’t drink but Ed Sheeran mentions it in one of his songs and that’s as good an authority as any) but notice how neatly they have been laid there on the step. You may have heard of the famous six-word story that goes: For sale. Baby shoes. Never worn. Attributed to Hemingway, but this is disputed. So, what if you did a similar thing based on this photo?
Yeah, it’s been a while. Five months since the last RAWPS post–hoo, I didn’t realise it really.
I saw this sign outside the Scribbler shop in Manchester. If you’re not familiar with this retailer, they sell cards, hence the Valentine’s Day thing.
Actually, it’s not that stupid. You should love yourself most of all.
You can also date your own self if you want. Which I’m kinda doing.
It’s been 18 months since the first Random and Weird Phone Shot entry so here’s an updated pic. The trainers are still hanging there. They survived many a stormy weather, they’ll probably still be there after the world ends.
On my way to the tram stop this morning, I was treated to this sight:
I wonder how many throws it took? Anyway, it gave me an idea. I took this with my smartphone as I always do when I see something funny or strange or just a bit silly, anything that one way or another picks my interest. So it occurred to me to make a series out of these shots. I will call the series Random and Weird Phone Shots (or RAWPS for short) and I will post them on Thursdays. Let’s see how it goes.
I hope everyone’s having a great summer and if you’re playing PokemonGo, I hope you’ve found some interesting places to photograph!
