When I left Queen’s my future seemed to stretch out before me like a straight road. I thought I could see along it for many a milestone. Now there is a bend in it. I don’t know what lies around the bend, but I’m going to believe that the best does. It has a fascination of its own, that bend, Marilla. I wonder how the road beyond it goes—what there is of green glory and soft, checkered light and shadows—what new landscapes—what new beauties—what curves and hills and valleys further on.
LM Montgomery–Anne of Green Gables
You know what it is!
The coming of October reminds of this quote from LM Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables:
I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn’t it?
That it would, Anne. That it would.
I’ve read the Anne series umpteen times but it wasn’t until about three years ago when I got into photography and started to notice the world around me more that I finally understood Anne’s words. I love these colours.
This is the first new month since Some Photoblog started, so I am finally getting more than one item under the Archives heading.
Happy October everybody!
