For this post I’m recycling the title from last year because I couldn’t think of anything better. And, like, it’s not a lie. September days are truly here.
October is coming to a close and with it the best of autumn leaves. Here are some final pictures.
Until next year…
It got a tiny bit windy the other day.
At least that’s what I was trying to go for. Then I kinda botched it but hey–I said this blog was a work in progress.
It’s October, which means–see the title of this post.
And here they are:
I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.
~Anne of Green Gables
I will never not quote this.
I haven’t been doing much photography lately. (Or, come to think of it, much blog either.) But I did do a photo trip to Radcliffe a couple of weeks ago. Radcliffe is a town in Bury, which was historically Lancashire but is now part of Greater Manchester. Here I give you four pics from this expedition:
So, Northern Hemisphere, temperate climate–is it as miserable where you are as it is here? ‘Cos we’ve had that type of weather that you hate no matter what you preference is. Or, more like, the weather that hates you–both cold and wet. Rain’s okay if it means it’s warmer, cold’s okay if it means it’s at least dry and sunny, but this, erm, occurrence outside is not okay. I hope it makes up its mind one way or the other, before I lose the will to live, brrrr.
Because the others are not all that.
If you disappoint yourself, you change it and un-disappoint yourself. If someone else disappoints you, well, it’s… disappointing.
So, be yourself. And every once in a while, if you’re unsure how to carry on or you feel somehow hopeless, take inspiration from the fictional ones. Be Xena Warrior Princess. Be Tony Stark. Be Hercule Poirot. Be Brienne of Tarth. Be someone amazing.
I’m not saying that holding up two autumn leaves and taking a picture of them with your smartphone is being a hero but hey, it’s a start. #IHeartMe
[Insert some text here. Unless you can’t think of anything to say.]
A change of pronoun on the usual Anne of Green Gables October quote. I imagine it’s an Instagram story Diana would send to Anne.
I didn’t know what to title this post, so I called it literally what it is.
